Beginning on Wednesday, June 17, Cal student-athletes may begin returning to campus in preparation for voluntary outdoor conditioning workouts under a comprehensive plan that follows strict medical guidelines to support participants’ health and well-being. The plan includes COVID-19 education, a seven-day quarantine and testing before activities may begin, and physical distancing and facial coverings during workouts. The plan is also in line with the City of Berkeley public health order and guidance set by physicians at University Health Services and other medical experts. Both the Pac-12 and NCAA voted to permit schools to open campus facilities for voluntary workouts in June. For additional details, please see the news release and FAQ created by Cal Athletics.
